Linda Stern is a Senior Manager and Licensed Insolvency Trustee at Crowe Soberman Inc. She has over twenty-five years of experience working in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, primarily in consumer insolvency matters consulting with individuals overwhelmed with debt and helping them find solutions that work best for their financial and personal situations.
Linda is experienced in matters ranging from consumer proposals to creditor and debtor settlements and insolvencies at all levels of debts. In her current role, she is involved in files with complex debt restructuring, including debtors with high-income tax debts.
She is a compassionate, well-organized and knowledgeable individual who enjoys helping clients unburden themselves with debt so they can build a healthier financial future. She takes her time to inform her clients of the necessary rules and procedures so that they have a complete understanding of their debt options.
Linda works with clients faced with unmanageable debt primarily from loss of business, loss of employment, marital breakdown, poor money management, student loans, personal health and mental health issues, gambling, etc. She is always empathetic and calming to her clients who have high anxiety over their financial situation.
Linda has been featured in an article on “How to Reduce Stress about Money” in The Globe and Mail. She is also the author of several blogs on behalf of Family and Credit Counselling Services of York Region.
